Thursday, 21. June

In cooperation between The PhotoBookMuseum and the Hansestadt Rostock, artists from the league of the cities Die Hanse are invited to submit photographs of their "Future City".
As soon as the Hanseatic ships enter the city harbour of Rostock at the opening of the Hanseatic days, the Hanseatic period comes to life again!
Traditional merchant ships bring goods from European cities to Rostock, which will be unloaded at the city harbour with the help of the historic wooden crane and sold on the Hansekontor.
The delegations of the Hanseatic cities walk together in traditional costumes through the city centre towards the stage at the Neuer Markt where the 38th Hanseatic days will be open.
Under the motto “Sail training”, young people are taught maritime skills on traditional sailing ships.
Just try it out! At the city harbour, you have the opportunity to try out trendy sports such as Stand Up Paddling.

Friday, 22. June

Under the motto “Sail training”, young people are taught maritime skills on traditional sailing ships.
Just try it out! At the city harbour, you have the opportunity to try out trendy sports such as Stand Up Paddling.
Approximately 130 Hanseatic cities from 16 European countries will present themselves on the Hanseatic Market which will be located at the heart of the city, at the Neuer Markt.
Companies from Rostock and the surrounding area present themselves and their range of services at the University square in front of the main university building.
At the Fairtrade Market, situated at the foot of the historian Kröpeliner Tor, various fair traded goods such as coffee, jewellery and fashion items can be found.
Taste the delicacies of the seas at the Fish and Harbor Market, get in touch with the fishermen and enjoy the maritime lifestyle!

Come on board and allow yourself to be transported back to the times of the Hanseatic League. Feel a charming and rustic flair riding along the Warnow river on one of the Hanseatic ships.
The Business Forum will gather partners in the Baltic Sea Region at the fields of science and business. Representatives of local and international companies, the City as well as the University discuss joint projects and ideas on cross-country cooperation.

Under the motto "Fairtrade", residents and visitors are invited to a joint Hansa Brunch. Fair trade coffee and other delicacies will be served and offered.
People of different denominations, guests and residents of the Hanseatic City of Rostock together attend this service.
The Lord Mayor of the Hanseatic City of Rostock will solemnly hand over the Hanseatic flag to the next Hanseatic days organizers, the Hanseatic city of Pskov.
The Hanseatic days will be concluded with a closing parade of all the Hanseatic cities going from the New Market towards the city harbour. On the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the foundation of the city of Rostock, they will be joined by the citizens, and members of different institutions and associations from Rostock.
