Wismar and Lübeck (incl. brewery)

Day tour “On the trails of the Hansa”

In Wismar impressive old churches, imposing brick Gothic and medieval walls point to the influence of the Hanseatic League. A knowledgeable guide will commence a walking tour that takes you down the cobbled streets of Wismar’s old town. Upon arrival at the port area, stop at the town’s first brewery, the site of Brauhaus am Lohberg. Step inside to a lively and nostalgic atmosphere and sample the dark, traditional Mumme beer served with a German pretzel. The UNESCO World Heritage City of Lübeck is now considered one of the best preserved medieval cities in northern Germany. Accompany your guide on a tour of the picturesque, unimaginable aisles and courtyards which are hidden behind the front buildings. Afterwards, visit the European Hansemuseum, which uses modern museum technology, original exhibits and built reconstructed scenes to explain the context of history.
